Hello everyone! I did the 30 Day Book Challenge sometime ago and I had a lot of fun and it was a great way to actually keep publishing stuff when I didn’t have something for you guys. So it’s challenge time again! This one I made up and it’s not nearly as good as Radiya’s was but I think it will also be some fun and it’s October so it seemed appropriate with the darkness and whatever!

Day 1: Lust – What is a book that you read/bought  purely because of the way it looked?

The Hollow paperback 1.10 (1)The Hollow by Jessica Verday. In grade 9 we had a school field trip to Chapters and everyone had to pick out a book for the library but first we had to read it and review it for English class. Best. Field trip. EVER! Anyway so this is what I picked up because that cover is beautiful! Its so dark and mysterious, I fell in love with it! As far as story line goes it’s been awhile  so I’m going to pass this off to the Goodreads description

“When Abbey’s best friend, Kristen, vanishes at the bridge near Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, everyone else is all too quick to accept that Kristen is dead…and rumors fly that her death was no accident. Abbey goes through the motions of mourning her best friend, but privately, she refuses to believe that Kristen is really gone. Then she meets Caspian, the gorgeous and mysterious boy who shows up out of nowhere at Kristen’s funeral and keeps reappearing in Abbey’s life. Caspian clearly has secrets of his own, but he’s the only person who makes Abbey feel normal again…but also special.

Just when Abbey starts to feel that she might survive all this, she learns a secret that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her best friend. How could Kristen have kept silent about so much? And could this secret have led to her death? As Abbey struggles to understand Kristen’s betrayal, she uncovers a frightening truth that nearly unravels her – one that will challenge her emerging love for Caspian, as well as her own sanity.”

I’d give this book a B minus, ok, not great. I remember this book being really a one-night stand kind of deal where I loved it then I realized it wasn’t all that amazing because of all the little plot holes and weirdness. The other two books in the series as The Haunted and The Hidden and this one was definitely the best. As the books go along they get more confusing and unexplained and frustrating. So that is lust, bye guys! Kisses!
